Free workforce development informational meeting offered at Lindsey

Lindsey Wilson College is the local site for a workforce development informational meeting this Wednesday presented by CenterNET2 in Somerset. This telecast will showcase bold new initiatives in the expansion of workforce development systems for maintaining and strengthening America's economic power.

The Center for Rural Development's CenterNET2 will offera telecast entitled, "Building a 21st Century World Class Workforce" to all 102 CenterNET2 sites across the state. The telecast will takePlace on Wednesday, July 27 from 3-4 p.m. EDT and is sponsored by theEconomic Development Administration.

Included in the telecast will be a discussion on what it takes to build a worldclass workforce; a new streamlined workforce development system in the state of Mississippi; and a community college perspective of how local efforts are putting these concepts into practice.
