Readers and writers invited to participate in Giles House event

The Giles Society invites you to attend the fourth annual Kentuckians Reading Kentuckians event at the restored Janice Holt and Henry Giles House in Knifley. This eagerly anticipated feature of the Giles summer season will take place on Saturday, August 13, from 10 A.M.2: P.M. (CT). Writers may read from their own work or that of another Kentucky writer.
Non-writers may read work by any Kentucky author. If you dont want to read, just come and enjoy the atmosphere!

Writers may bring copies of their books to sell as long as they supply all display items (tables, racks, etc.).

This years event will have both a morning and an afternoon session. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be sold at the break, or bring your own picnic. You may also want to bring a lawn chair.

Readings are limited to twelve minutes and you must be registered to read. Registration closes August 8 at 5 P.M.

Order of reading is determined by order of registration. However, please specify if you can only attend one session so that we can schedule you during the appropriate time period. Please tell us if you have special needs.

To register, please contact Jan Sparkman at:
or call Jan at either 606-878-6257 or 606-224-3767.
