Eric Mitchell Johnson, 52, Greensburg, KY (1969-2022)

Eric Mitchell Johnson of Greensburg passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home. He was 52 years old.

Following his wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be a memorial service for Eric Mitchell Johnson at 2pmCT on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY.

Memorial visitation is requested after 11amCT on Saturday at the funeral home until time for the memorial service.


Eric Mitchell Johnson, son of David L. Johnson and Eleta McAfee Johnson of Greensburg, Kentucky, was born on Thursday, March 6, 1969 in Green County.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Eric was a retired Material Manager for Dow Chemical, and was a member of the Sons of American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124.

Besides his parents, Eric is survived by his wife of 25 years: Kim Marcum Johnson of Greensburg having united in marriage on September 7, 1996.

Other survivors include two sons: Eli Johnson and his wife, Sami Jo of Campbellsville, and Nash Johnson and his girlfriend, Haley Judd both of Greensburg; his mother-in-law: Linda Marcum Thompson of Campbellsville; father-in-law: Larry Marcum and his wife, Teresa of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Sons of American Legion Scholarship Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers: Barry Lobb, Joey Whitlow, Gary Bagby, Mickey Milby, Marty Young, James Johnson.
