Donation Requests from JOY for Ruth's House By Maggie Coleman JOY Ministries will finally be formally dedicating and opening our new shelter, Ruth's House, this month. This gives JOY a 4-apartment shelter for women and children with a counseling office and employee housing, in addition to the existing 1-room shelter, Callie's House, that opened in 2019. JOY has had such a wave of clients, that the organization could not get the house into its final stages since it was purchased in April. It had to immediately be put to use. Here are the immediate needs that JOY has for the house, along with some needs we will have regularly over the coming years to keep the shelter running.
Thanks! We are making a HUGE difference for these families! We are getting them jobs, into permanent homes, and helping people get off drugs. It is awesome to see! J.O.Y. Ministries is open 11-5 Monday through Thursday at 411 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. This story was posted on 2022-02-08 12:42:47
