Bro. Curtis Slinker, 79, Greensburg, KY (1942-2022)

Bro. Curtis Wayne Slinker of Greensburg passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 79 years old.

The funeral services for Bro. Curtis Slinker will be conducted at 10amCT on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Jeff Eastham and Bro. Greg Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 3pmCT until 8pmCT on Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Wednesday until time of the funeral service.


Bro. Curtis Wayne Slinker, son of the late Donald Russell Slinker and Dulcie M. Davis Slinker, was born on Thursday, May 28, 1942 in Green County.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a Minister for the Boiling Springs Baptist Church for 46 years. He was a retired controller at Lindsey Wilson College, where he had also been the director of financial aid, a teacher and guidance counselor. He was a former teacher for the Green County School System. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM, and also a member of the Lynn Baptist Association where he served as a former moderator.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Alice Clay Blakeman Slinker on December 20, 2013 having united in marriage on July 5, 1962.

Survivors include his wife: Corinne Borich Rogers Slinker of Greensburg, having united in marriage on May 29, 2016; two sons and daughters-in-law: Russ and Terri Slinker of Campbellsville, and Dr. Jason and Ashly Slinker of Greensburg; step-children: Todd and Donna Rogers, Lee Ann Rogers, and Tommy and Dana Rogers all of Greensburg; grandchildren: Natalie Slinker, Nolan Slinker, Cassidy (Jake) Blair-Dixon, Noah Slinker, Caylie Blair, Jaylee Hammons, Zeth Rogers, Ashley Rogers, Hunter Rogers, Kelsey Rogers; a sister: Betty Ann Judd of Greensburg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Ronnie and Gayle Blakeman of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Greensburg Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
