Road work continues with temperatures below freezing

Both Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan and Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots are reporting that while main roads are being cleared of the overnight snow, with temperatures below freezing and going down more, drivers should watch carefully for ice.

Black ice remains a serious winter hazard while temperatures remain below 32 degrees.

Street Department and Sanitation on duty

City of Columbia Street Department and Sanitation Department are out managing roads and picking up garbage on schedule. They actually started early due to the inclement weather. The Street Department is monitoring roads and will continue to be out as conditions require.
