Adair Co. Fiscal Court Recap, 2022 Schedule

From the Office of Gale B. Cowan
Adair County Judge Executive

The Adair County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday, January 10, 2022. Normal agenda items were addressed along with the following:

We set our meeting dates for 2022 (below). Regular monthly meetings will be held on the second Monday of each month at 6pmCT, and last Monday of each month at 4pmCT, unless stated otherwise. We had 3 meeting dates that fell on holidays and those dates were adjusted accordingly.

We opened bids for new voting machines. One bid is all that was submitted and that was from Harp Enterprises, Inc. from Lexington KY. The bid was for $213,092.90. Magistrates voted to wait to award the bid until Clerk Lisa Greer could view the bid to make sure everything was included that is needed.

Clerk Greer was unable to attend last nights meeting.

Judge Cowan obtained approval to sign a ESRI renewal agreement for the E911 Center. This program is used to run the mapping program.

The seconnd reading of an ordinance enforcing face coverings and testing was on the agenda, but could not be approved because advertising requirements were not yet met due to the holiday schedules. Magistrate Chris Reeder recommended we hold on this second reading until a decision comes from the Supreme Court.

The Fiscal Court voted to keep their Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance with KACo.

Judge Cowan told the court that several committees need to meet in the near future, and ask magistrates to look at their schedules and contact her office to schedule dates for committee meetings.
