Leland Ray Crockett, 76, Russell County, KY (1946-2022) Leland Ray Crockett of Russell County, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was 76 years of age. Leland was born on February 2, 1946, in Russell County, son of the late Thomas and Lucy Bell Crockett. He was a retired employee with Stephens Pipe and Steel, of Russell County. Leland always had a love for dogs, especially his dog, Pee-Wee. He is survived by his daughter, Valera Lynn Badgley (and Gary), of Russell County; his step-sons, Gregory Weaver, of Russell County, and Harold Burton (and Vern), of Cloverdale, Indiana; his sister, Orpha Polston, of Russell County; a special niece, Christy Robertson (and Darris), of Russell County; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Leland is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Rainwater Crockett; his brothers, Thomas Crockett, Herbert Crockett and Hobert Crockett; his sister, Pearlie McQueary; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Polston and Denver "Jack" McQueary. Funeral services are 1pmCT Monday, January 10, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Interment will be in Cain Town Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Hadley, Roger Hadley, Milze McGowan, Darris Robertson, Dallas Johnson, and Kent Hudson. Visitation will be after 11amCT Monday, at the funeral home, until time for services.
