Jewell Dean Flinchum, 93, Adair Co., KY native (1928-2021) Jewell Dean Stayton Flinchum of Elk Horn passed away on Tuesday December 14, 2021, in Campbellsville. She was 93 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Pastor Doug Roberts. Burial will follow in Harden Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 10amET until 1pmET on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Jewell Dean Stayton Flinchum, daughter of the late Robert "Bob" Stayton and Lear Ruth Christie Stayton, was born December 13, 1928 in Adair County, Kentucky. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Christie Chapel United Methodist Church. Jewell Dean loved all her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the UK Wildcats, watching hummingbirds and working in her flowers. She united in marriage to Charles Flinchum, Jr. April 11, 1948 and he preceded her in death October 17, 2003. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Dawn Flinchum of Elk Horn; seven grandchildren: Annual Flinchum, Adrian Cruz, Jessica Flinchum, Robbie Flinchum, Andrea Flinchum, Sawyer Flinchum and Mark Flinchum; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: William R. "Buddy" Stayton of Campbellsville, Leadis R. Stayton and wife, Susie of Johnsport, Illinois and Lantous R. Stayton of Covington; a very special nephew, Raymond Lee Stayton; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Lowell Flinchum May 1, 2005; a grandson, Shawn Flinchum and three sisters: Freda Stayton, Beatrice Burton and Leora Lavine. Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to the Harden Cemetery and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
