Drive-Through Christmas starts Fri 10 Dec 2021

By Tiffany Collins

The annual Drive-Through Christmas is scheduled to begin on Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Little League Park off Joe Johnson Road. As a part of this year's event, some special activities are being planned:
  • The weekend of December 10-11 Students from Lindsey Wilson College are to be onsite to greet the cars that drive through and to hand out candy. If anyone would like to donate candy (and bags), please drop your candy off in the tote behind City Hall, 116 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY.

  • The weekend of December 17-18 Bloomington Chapel Church will again do their live Nativity scene.
"We hope that everyone enjoys this year's event," said Mayor Pamela Hoots.

There are more displays scheduled to appear this year than in 2020. In addition, the welding class at Adair County High School has constructed a mailbox that will be used for "Letters To Santa." Children are invited to write a letter to Santa Claus and put it in the mailbox before December 21, 2021. If the child's name and address are on the letter, they will get a response.

For more information, please contact City Hall at 270-384-2501.
