Vallie Jean Murphy, 84, Liberty, KY (1937-2021) Vallie Jean Murphy of Liberty passed away on Wednesday November 24, 2021, at her residence. She was 84 years old. Funeral services will be held 2pmET on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Cameron Cain officiating. Burial will follow in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 11amET on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. She was born November 5th, 1937, in Casey Co., KY, a daughter of the late Ernest Lee Atwood Sr. and Tina Lou Whited Atwood. She was the widow of Lyndon Murphy who passed away on February 26th, 2018. Vallie Jean was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a member of Carr's Chapel First Church of God. Survivors include: Three Sons: Stanley Lyndon Murphy, Kenneth Eugene Murphy, and Phillip Murphy and (Dana Garrett) all of Liberty, Three Grandchildren: Joshua Lyndon and (Sage) Murphy, Stephanie and (Shawn) Scott and Whitney Murphy Finn and (Rodney) Seven Great-Grandchildren, Close Friend: Rita Rodgers and Caregiver: Regina Richards. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband was Two Brothers: Ernest Lee Atwood Jr and Kenneth Marvin Atwood and Two Sisters: Ila Maxine Murphy and Veltha Louise Atwood.
