LWC students enjoyed tour of downtown Columbia

Mrs. Melissa Arnold Took her Lindsey Wilson College P-5 Social Studies class on a field trip around Columbia on a beautiful fall day last week. They began the tour with volunteer Mary Anne Loy for a look inside the historic Trabue Russell House on Jamestown Street.

They enjoyed a downtown walking tour with Mike Watson.

Students from her class shared these observations:

Kaylee covey, "Columbia is vintage and modern at the same time."

Alix Castillo, "There's more to Columbia than meets the eye."

Chloe Burton, "Even though I've lived in Columbia my entire life I learned that there is a lot of classical beauty and history in Columbia."

Shelby Phillips, "I'm jealous that Columbia has so many wonderful small businesses than where I am from."

Kallie Stotts, "Getting to the Trabue house helped me to appreciate the settlement of Columbia."
