Scott Larame Mardis, 44, Campbellsville, KY (1977-2021)

Scott Larame Mardis of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, November 19th, 2021, at his home in Campbellsville. He was 44 years old.

The funeral will be held at 2pmET on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Auberry Funeral Home, 503 East Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.


Scott Larame Mardis, son of Larry Thomas Mardis and Carolyn Ann Shofner Mardis, both of Campbellsville, was born June 27th, 1977, in Taylor County.

He professed his faith in Christ at an early age was a firm believer.

Scott worked for Larry's Construction for over 25 years with his father. He was an avid reader that enjoyed reading about American history, the Civil War, the Constitution, and politics. He also enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia.

Scott is survived by:
  • His parents: Larry Thomas and Carolyn Ann Mardis of Campbellsville.
  • Two brothers: James Mardis and his wife, Brandy of Campbellsville, and Jeff Mardis of Campbellsville.
  • One sister: Shanon O'Banion and her husband, Jonathan of Campbellsville.
  • Two uncles: Terry Mardis and his wife, Debbie and Gary Walters and his wife Denise, all of Campbellsville.
  • One aunt: Judy Donley Henderson of Sherman, IL.
  • Three nephews: Landon O'Banion, Layton O'Banion and Willie Key.
  • One niece: Jamie Lynn Mardis.
  • Many other family, friends, and relatives.
Pallbearers: Jonathan O'Banion, James Mardis, Jesse Walters, Michael Mardis, Brian Mardis and Travis Hunt.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in the form of Gideon Bibles and can be made at the funeral home.
