Geneva Davis Higgason, 101, Green Co., KY (1920-2021)

Geneva Davis Higgason of Green County passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was 101 years old.

The funeral services for Geneva Davis Higgason will be conducted at 1pmCT on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Larry Wisdom and Bro. Brad Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Saturday until time of the funeral service.


Geneva Davis Higgason of Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ezra Washington "Washie" Davis and Mamie Clarice Cook Davis, was born on Monday, August 2, 1920 in Green County.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where she was very active in the work of the church and enjoyed it very much. She was also a homemaker and a former worker for the Green County Headstart Program.

She united in marriage to Wayne W. Higgason on May 25, 1940 who preceded her in death on December 17, 1996.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Darrell and Peggy Higgason of Green County; a daughter-in-law: Linda Higgason of South Carolina; a sister: Rachel Smith of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Tammy Ferraez and her husband, Stan of Pennsylvania, Tonna Higgason, Roy Higgason, and Justin White all of Green County, and Josh White of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Amber (Johnny) Kuntz of Texas, Caitlan (Wes) Williams of Colorado, and Jade Ferraez of Pennsylvania; three great-great grandchildren: Addison, Miller and Brady Kuntz; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Higgason was also preceded in death by a son: Randall Higgason, a foster daughter: Kay White; a brother: Hubert Davis; two sisters: Celsie Stewart and infant, Shirley Ann Davis.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund or the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
