2021 Metcalfe County Christmas Parade

The Metcalfe County Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1pmCT. The Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce conducts the parade.

The theme of this year's parade will be " Hometown Hero Christmas". Essential workers such as healthcare workers, first responders, postal workers, educators, etc, will be the Grand Marshalls. A representative from each category will ride at the front of the parade!



The parade will follow the same route as in previous years, beginning at Metcalfe County Elementary. Signs and or volunteers will direct persons as to where floats, etc. will park for lineup. The parade will proceed to and circle the square and then return to the school.

All registration forms should be returned to the Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce office by noon Friday, December 10th. However; one may register the day of the parade between the hours of 9am and 11 am. Entries arriving after 11 am may be in the parade, but are not guaranteed to be judged.

All entries must be at the Metcalfe County Elementary School parking lot by 12pmCT on Saturday, December 11th.

The eight divisions and prize monies for participants are:

1. Float (Business/Industry)_ Cash prize 1st place $125, 2nd $75 3rd $50
2. Float (School)_____ Cash prize 1st place $125, 2nd $75 3rd $50
3. Float (Civic)_______ Cash prize 1st place $125, 2nd $75 3rd $50
4. Float (Church)_____ Cash prize 1st place $125, 2nd $75 3rd $50
5. Float (Family/Friends)____Cash prize 1st place $125, 2nd $75 3rd $50
6. Vehicle (type)_____ Cash prize 1st place $25, 2nd $15
7. Gators, Mules, Side by Sides____________ Cash prize 1st place $50 2nd place $25
8. Miscellaneous (type)___Cash prize 1st place $50, 2nd $25

There are no entry fees. All entries must be decorated for the holidays.
