Eunice Marie Pierce, 92, Green Co., KY (1929-2021) Eunice Marie Pierce of Green County passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her home. She was 92 years old. The funeral services for Marie Pierce will be conducted at 1pmCT on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Ennis-Perkins Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Sunday until time of the funeral service. Eunice Marie Pierce, daughter of the late James David Skaggs and Hallie Pearl Estes Skaggs, was born on Friday, July 5, 1929 in Green County. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Houk's Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker, but most of all she was known for how much she loved and cherished her family. She united in marriage to Alton Pierce, Sr. on September 25, 1947 who preceded her in death on January 23, 2001. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Joyce and Stevie Ervin, and Connie and James Hutson all of Green County; two sons and daughters-in-law: Junior and Valerie Pierce, and Larry and Lisa Pierce all of Green County; 10 grandchildren: Marsha and Greg Roy, Jason and Michelle Pierce, Brian and Tabby Ervin, Billy and Tina Beard, Kyle West, Kaleb West, Tosha Curry (Joe), Niki Curry (Nathan), Scotty and Brandy Pierce, and Ricki Jo Pierce; 25 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; special friends: Kenny and Megan Brantley, Brynlyn Glass; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Pierce was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Judy Lane Pierce; a son and daughter-in-law: James and Starlot Pierce; daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn and Dwight London; a grandson: Jasper London; two sisters and a brother: Mary Frances Strange, Ortella Lile, and Amos William Skaggs. Pallbearers: Kyle West, Kaleb West, Niki Curry, Scotty Pierce, Brian Ervin, Jason Pierce Honorary Pallbearers: Grandchildren Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
