Edward G. ''Ed'' Norris, 79, World War II veteran, dies Edward G. "Ed" Norris, 79, 4428 Fairplay RD, Columbia, KY (the Fairplay Community) passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at 9:21 p.m., at his home after several months illness. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 30, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Hadley's Community Church, approximately 8.5 miles south on Fairplay Road (KY 704) , Columbia, KY. Rev. Elbert Hadley will officiate. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Mr. Norris was a member of Hadley's Community Church. He was retired from General Motors Fisher Body Plant and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was the son of the late Clarence Howard and Nora Lee Murray Norris of Cumberland County. He is survived by his wife, Nina Helen Capps Norris, Fairplay, KY, and the following:
