Golf: LWC Women capture IWU Fall Invitational

Noblesville, IN - The No. 20-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's golf team captured their first tournament of the season winning the IWU Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon with a final score of 920.

Katie Biddlecombe closed out play in the third round with her best score of 71 to win the individual competition. The junior hit six birdies on the day to finish overall with a 219 (73-75-71).


Malene Clausen finished fifth as she posted a 228 (76-72-80) only hitting one birdie this afternoon. As for the rest of the Blue Raiders, Megan Mann did her best to get back up the leaderboard improving a spot to tie for ninth overall with a 236 (78-79-79).

Zofia Wojcik finished tied for 12th with Hannah Sumner after hitting a 238 (74-88-76). Sumner, who was participating as an individual ended the event also with a 238 (80-77-81).

Claire McLaughlin and Paige Gray also participated as individuals as McLaughlin hit a 243 (84-79-80) for 17th while Gray shot a 244 (80-80-84) to tie for 18th.

Lauren Holeman finished in 25th hitting a 252 (84-87-81).

The Blue Raiders return to the course on Oct. 25-26 when they travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky to compete at the Mid-South Fall Championship.
