Columbia gas seller takes a top spot on Kentucky gas prices website

  • kentuckygasprices.com tracks high, low gas prices
  • High gas prices are a concern to most drivers, survey shows
Apparently record high gas prices have been a concern to drivers across the Commonwealth, as a website, kentuckygasprices.comnow tracks prices in Kentucky.

At 7:00 a.m. this morning, a Columbia station was in first place in the high price category at kentuckygasprices.com. It's listed in the Campbellsville area, but the station's address is Columbia, KY. This information came to us from Ken Smith, Flat Woods, Greenup Co., KY.

The latest columbiamagazine.com poll, on gas prices, shows a more distinct polarity than any in the past.

Over 93% of those voting in the survey are concerned or are changing driving behavior because of the high prices.

Below is the vote totals and percentages at 7:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2005.

Only the first choice, "Just don't let me run out," included those in the driving public to whom price doesn't matter. All the other categories included those who are hurt by the high prices, but who are not changing driving habits, up to those who are doing everything to conserve.

Although a new poll is scheduled for the front page, readers are still welcome to vote one time in the any of the magazine's surveys, all of which now remain active and online.
