September 2021 KDFWR traffic safety checkpoint locations
By Officer Cody Berry, 4th District Law Enforcement Division
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources
Kentucky Conservation Officers will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout Green River Wildlife Management Area during the month of September to check motorist for compliance with motor vehicle laws including driving under the influence statutes.
Below is a list of supervisory-approved traffic safety checkpoint locations for Adair and Taylor Counties:
Traffic safety checkpoints allow Conservation Officers to periodically focus its efforts on checking for violations that ultimately increase the safety of the citizens of the Commonwealth who recreate on Kentucky's Wildlife Management Areas. The goal of Conservation Officer traffic safety checkpoints are to provide a high visibility, public safety service targeting motor vehicle compliance and safety. Drivers who encounter a traffic safety checkpoint are requested to have readily available their operator's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration receipt. Drivers with this documentation in hand and no other violations of the law, can expect their delay to be brief. Kentucky Conservation Officers are committed to providing a safe environment for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources managed lands.
