2021-09-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
Fara Popplewell Miniard, center, Community Development Specialist with the Lake Cumberland Area Development District, presented details of USDA application grant in progress at the September 7, 2021 City Council meeting. The City has applied for a grant in the amount of $33,997.72 for equipment to be used in police cruisers. The City's contribution would be a third should the grant be approved and the budget be amended to handle it.

The meeting was held in the basement of City Hall so everyone could spread out and socially distance in the face of growing COVID-19 virus cases in Adair County. Also pictured are, seated from left: Jim Lieb, Gas Superintendent Jerry Watson, CPD Chief Jr. Murphy, City Council Members Dr. Ronald Rogers, Robert Flowers and Mark Harris.
