Shelia Mae Sutton Whitehead, 66, Greensburg, KY (1955-2021)

Shelia Mae Sutton Whitehead of Greensburg passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was 66 years old.

Funeral services for Shelia Mae Sutton Whitehead will be conducted at NoonCT on Wednesday September 8, 2021, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Raymond Hollins officiating. Burial to follow in the Akin Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Tuesday, and will continue after 7amCT on Wednesday at the funeral home.


Shelia Mae Sutton Whitehead was born August 27, 1955, to the late Shirley Jean Sutton and Ellen Mae Price Epperson in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. She was a Dietary Aid at Metzmyer, a caregiver, and Housekeeper at Medco. She enjoyed reading her bible, watching church services on Facebook, and enjoyed being with her family. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one granddaughter: Rosalynn Grace Puente.

She is survived by two daughters: Angela Dawn Cross Melson of Greensburg and Jessica Ryan Cross Acosta Puente of Columbia; a special niece: Tiara Danielle Epperson Trujillo of Greensburg; one half-sister: Melissa Dawn Epperson; grandchildren: Sasha Reynaga, Emily Reynaga, Isabella Acosta, Jayden Acosta, Arianna Acosta, Dustin Ray, Nathan Ray, Patiance Shirley, Perla Veliz, Ricardo Reynaga, Jr.; six great-grandchildren; one stepdaughters: Shawna Whitehead; one step-son: Leslie Whitehead; seven step grandchildren; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Dustin Ray, Nathan Ray, Ricardo Reynaga Jr., Cody Shirley, Jr. Puente, Joe Berry, Jerry Molina, Cruz Silva, Jimmy Paige

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy to be made to the Gideon Bible Fund and these can be made at the funeral home.
