LWC Volleyball faces Keiser for home opener tonight

The No. 20 Lindsey Wilson volleyball team returns to action as they host Keiser (FL) tonight in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. First serve is set for 5pmCT.


In their last match, the Blue Raiders (4-1, 0-0 MSC) defeated Brescia (KY) in a three-set sweep. Lindsey Wilson was led on offense by a trio of Alexis Smith, Johanna Alcantara, and Madison Bidwell who recorded 10, eight, and eight kills, respectively. Camryn Rich also chipped in with the offensive production with a team-high 36 assists.

Defensively, it was a team effort as the Blue Raiders held the Bearcats to a .009 hitting percentage.

Keiser (3-6, 0-0 SC) enters the match off a four-set victory against MidAmerica Nazarene (KS). The Seahawks rank first overall in the NAIA in total assists with 347, and second in total kills with 365. Amber Dilsaver leads Keiser's offense with a team-high 77 kills. On defense, Erika Magin holds a total of 116 digs.

This marks the second meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Seahawks. The last meeting between the two resulted in a three-set loss for Lindsey Wilson.
