Phillip Wayne Conner, Clinton County, KY (1942-2021)

The Conner family requested Columbia Magazine share the obituary of Phillip Wayne Conner of Albany, Kentucky who passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, having attained the age of 79 years, 6 months and 25 days.

He was born in the Indian Creek Community of Russell County, Kentucky on Friday, January 16, 1942, the son of Merrell & Lertie (Conner) Conner. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of Concord United Methodist Church, and he was a Custodian/Maintenance worker for Clinton County Board of Education.



He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sharon Rector, sister, Peggy Conner, and brother, Danny Conner.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Polston) Conner, whom he wed on Tuesday, April 27, 1976, of Albany, Kentucky,

Daughters, Susan (& Keith) Anderson, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Mia (& Edward) Conner, of Cincinnati, Ohio,

Sister, Kathy (& Jerry) Garmon, of Columbia, Kentucky,

Grandchildren, Richie French, Darris Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Chris Reliford, Amanda Reliford, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 2pm in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wells officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 5-9 and then again on Sunday from 8 until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.
