Sonny Jacob, 80, Russell Springs, KY (1940-2021)

Sonny Jacob of Russell Springs passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at his residence. He was 80 years old.

A graveside service will be held at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 80, Russell Springs, KY, at 2pmCT on Sunday, July 25, 2021, with Bro. Nick Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.


Sonny was born in Cincinnati, OH on September 26, 1940, a son of the late Clara (Schaaf) and Clarence Jacob.

He was a retired warehouse lead man at ITT Grinell.

Sonny is survived by
  • His wife, Paulette (Polly) Hopper Jacob
  • A step son, Shannon McGowan
  • Grandson Coty (husband of Laura) McGowan
  • Great grandson Hunter McGowan
  • Special niece Beth Stephens
  • Best friend furry companion Bailey
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Clara Taylor, Mary German and step-son Shane McGowan.
