Virginia Tupman, 89

Virginia Tupman, 89, Columbia, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at 1:44 p.m., at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Monday, March 14, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Grissom Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Martin and Bro. Terry White officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.


She was a daughter of the late Rev. L.C. Risen and Lou Ann Floyd Risen of Green County.

Mrs. Tupman was a member of the Columbia Christian Church.

She was the widow of Norris Tupman, who preceded her in death June 28, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, and a grandchild, Susan Lynn Tupman.

Survivors include the following:
  • One daughter: Radine Tupman Lile, Greensburg, KY.
  • Two sons: Jimmy Tupman, Columbia, KY, and Mitchell Tupman, Brandenburg, KY
  • One sister: Kathryn Squires, Greensburg, KY
  • And nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one nephew, Morris Tucker, Jr., Greensburg, KY, and a special friend and caregiver, Lois Garrett.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

Memorials are suggested to the Columbia Christian Church Debt Retirement Fund and may be left at the funeral home.

Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
