Joe L. Pierce, 71, Russell County, KY (1949-2021)

Joe L. Pierce, 71, of Jamestown, KY, passed away Friday, June 11th, at his residence.

Joe was born in Jamestown, KY on August 24, 1949, a son of the late Lura (Elmore) and Ray Pierce.

Joe was a hardworking man and enjoyed farming especially working around cattle. He was a lineman for Duo-County Telephone Company for over 30 years to his retirement.



He is survived by his wife: Joyce Wells Pierce of Jamestown, 2 sons; Timmy and Tracy Pierce both of Jamestown, two brothers; Donald (Charlotte) Pierce of Arlington, VA and Wayne (Judy) Pierce of Anderson, IN 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Elvin Pierce and 2 infant siblings.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1-2pmCT on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.
