Kenneth Lloyd Thrasher, 88, Burkesville, KY native (1933-2021) Mr. Kenneth Lloyd Thrasher of Smiths Grove, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Tri-Star Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. He was 88 years old. The Funeral will be conducted at 2pmCT on Friday, June 11, 2021, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY, with Mike Murphy and David Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 4:30pmCT until the funeral hour on Friday in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, May 10, 1933, the son of Barton and Vela (Poindexter) Thrasher. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of Grider United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran, and an engineer with the Kentucky Department of Transportation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley Thrasher, Rondal Thrasher, infant brother, James Thrasher, sisters, Dorothy Schickel, Imogene York, Brenda Cook, great-grandson, Dawson Shuford. He is survived by his wife, Datha (Smith) Thrasher, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky whom he wed on Saturday, March 29, 1958, children, Barry Thrasher of Burkesville, Kentucky, Donneta ( & Joe) Herald of Oakland, Kentucky, Kendra (& Rodney) Doolin of Bowling Green, Kentucky, grandchildren, Isaac Doolin, Janna (& Matt) Shuford, Kyle (& Karyn) Herald, Darrell Thrasher, LeAnn (& Jeremy) Cline, James Gage Doolin, great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Shuford, Emma Shuford, Matthew Shuford, Kynleigh Herald, Gavin Herald, Dylan Herald, Sawyer Cline, Madison Doolin.
