ACSO: Adair man arrested on felony charges after foot pursuit

On Thursday, May 27, 2021, at around 2:30pmCT, Adair K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten and Deputy Chris Tweedy observed a man on Burkesville Street known to have two outstanding circuit court indictments for his arrest.

As the deputies attempted contact, he fled, and a foot pursuit ensued. The man was caught and taken into custody. During a search of his person, suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also found to be in his possession.


William Miller of Adair County was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
  • Fleeing and Evading Police 2nd
  • Possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Circuit court indictment
  • Probation and parole warrant
Deputy Chandler Staten is the arresting officer. He was assisted by Deputy Chris Tweedy.
