John Bennard (Ben) Meyer, III, 66, Adair Co., KY (1954-2021) On May 25, 2021, at his home in Asuncion, Paraguay, John Bennard "Ben" Meyer III passed from this world into life eternal with Jesus. A memorial service was held privately in Silver Spring, Maryland. Ben was born on August 8, 1954 to John Bennard "J. Ben" Jr. and Joyce Meyer. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he also lived for several years here in Adair County, where two of his four children were born. Ben was preceded in death by his father, J. Ben Meyer, and his sister, Jeanne Meyer Carter. He is survived by his four children, John Mihai Meyer of Rock Hill, North Carolina, Anabeth Marie Meyer of Little Rock, Arkansas, Autumn Joy Meyer of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Summer Faith Meyer, of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also survived by his mother, Joyce Meyer of Silver Spring, Maryland; his brother Tommy Meyer (Betty) of Columbia, Kentucky with his seven children, all of Kentucky; his sister Mary Margaret Meyer Hathway (John) of Silver Spring, Maryland with her six children, all of Maryland; one more nephew, Ethan Daniel Carter (Lauren) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a large host of other relatives and friends. Ben had been close to his cousin, the late Stephen Jude Hingle of Columbia, KY. Ben was present and instrumental when Stephen became a follower of Jesus in spring of 1982. After Ben's time in the Air Force, he worked as a project manager on military bases and various American embassies. Although his work took him back and forth across six continents, he regularly kept in touch with everyone, thus leaving a void that will be hard to fill. Parque Serenidad is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.parqueserenidad.com. This story was posted on 2021-05-28 21:09:06
