Catheline Raffety, 83, Campbellsville, KY (1938-2021) Catheline Raffety of Campbellsville passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. She was 83 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Dr. James E. Jones. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is requested from 10amET until 1pmET on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Catheline Raffety, daughter of the late Robert Newcomb and Viola Sapp Newcomb, was born January 3, 1938 in Marion County, Kentucky. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Catheline was a receiving clerk at Wal-Mart before retiring after thirty plus years of service. She united in marriage to Fred Raffety September 15, 1956 and he preceded her in death June 16, 2020. Catheline is survived by two daughters and one son: Glenda Colvin and husband, Lynn, of Campbellsville, Larry Raffety and wife, Sherry of Finley and Kim Deener and husband, Jeff of Campbellsville; five granddaughters: Leanna Cundiff and husband, Shawn, Amy Burton and husband, Mike, Jessie Newton and husband, J.D. and Jennifer Sprowles and husband, Scott of Campbellsville and Christy Higdon and husband, Nick of Leitchfield; six great-grandchildren: Evan Cundiff, Chase Burton, Reese Burton, Bradley Newton, Kenzie Sprowles and Jeffrey Sprowles; one brother, L.C. Newcomb and wife, Aline of Louisville and one sister, Sue Yates and husband, Jody of Finley; several nieces and nephews and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by eight brothers; Geary Newcomb, Johnnie Newcomb, Gene Newcomb, Jim Newcomb, Bill Newcomb, Randall Newcomb, Jerry Newcomb and Joe Newcomb.
