Helen Hatfield, 75

Helen Hatfield, 75, 6835 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005, at 1:34 p.m., at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY, after an illness.

The funeral service will be Monday, February 7, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Purdy Separate Baptist Church with Bro. David Coffey officiating. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

She was the daughter of the late Dexter and Ola May Adams and the widow of Thomas Hatfield, who preceded her in death in May, 1976.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Herman Hatfield, in May, 1982.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Paul Hatfield, and his wife Virginia, Columbia, KY; and Ronnie Hatfield and special friend, Shirley, Columbia, KY
  • Three daughers: Dorothy Holmes, and her husband Rev. Junior Holmes, Columbia, KY; Ruby Holmes, and her husband, Rollin, Columbia, KY; and Wanda May, and her husband Tommy, Knifley, KY
  • One brother: Carl Adams, Peach Bottom, PA
  • And 12 grandchildren, six step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Hatfield was a member of Purdy Separate Baptist Church.

Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home and from 6:00 a.m., until 11:00 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Visitation at the Purdy Separate Baptist Church will be after 12 noon, Monday, February 7. 2005.
