Buel M. Bottoms, 86, Knifley, KY (1935-2021) Buel M. Bottoms of Knifley passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 86 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Morris Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11amET to 1pmET on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Facial coverings are required. Born on February 22, 1935, in Knifley, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Roy and Omia Sallee Bottoms. Buel was a retired machinist after more than twenty years with Reliance Electric. He was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed ginseng hunting, fishing, deer hunting, and music- especially Johnny Cash. He is survived by a daughter, Debbie Fay (and Larry) McCartey of Hartsville, IN; three sons, Terry Madison Bottoms of Hope, IN, Johnny Ray (and Paula) Bottoms of Bargersville, IN, and Richard Allen Bottoms of Knifley; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other survivors include five sisters, Mary Bottoms of Hope, IN, Dorothy Brown of Knifley, Norma Holcomb of Hope, IN, Brenda (and Larry) Neat of Liberty, and Margaret Staples of Liberty; and three brothers, Earl (and Helen) Bottom of Knifley, Phillip Bottoms, and Jerry Bottoms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Fay Bottoms; and a sister, Donna Bottoms. Arrangements for Mr. Buel M. Bottoms are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
