Two car accident on KY 90 ends in tragedy


  • Crash fatally injuries Brian Craft of Glasgow
  • Burkesville woman jailed in Columbia on DUI charge

Brian Craft, 30, Glasgow, KY, was prounounced dead at the scene by the Cumberland County Coroner as the result of a two-car accident on Monday, January 31, 2005, at 1:50 p.m.


The accident occurred 11.8 miles west of Burkesville on KY 90, the Burkesville-Glasgow road.

Mr. Craft was travelling east on KY 90 in a 2000 Toyota. The second car, a 1992 Oldsmobile operated by Tami McMahan, 36, Burkesville, KY, was travelling west and crossed center line, striking the Craft vehicle.

Tami McMahan was treated at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY, and transported to the Adair County Regional Jail, charged with DUI with aggravating circumstances.

Trooper Toby Young of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated the accident.
