Ray Dial, 64, dies in Indiana

Ray Dial, 64, Shelbyville, IN, formerly of Adair County, KY, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2005, at 6:10 a.m., at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood, IN, after an illness.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., CST, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Rev. Douglas Smith will officiate.


Mr. Dial was an automobile mechanic and a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Edinburgh, IN.

He was the son of the late Johnnie and Louie Estes Dial of Adair County.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Holt Dial, Shelbyville, IN, and the following:
  • Three sons: Gary Dial, Jeff Dial, and Randy Dial, all of Liberty, KY
  • Two daughters, Lisa Dial and pam Dial, both of Liberty, KY
  • Two stepsons: Dale Rich and Rick Rich, both of Shelbyville, IN
  • Two sisters: Louise Scott, Louisville, KY, and Frances Smith, Columbia
  • Six grandchildren: Jayden, Lauren, Brian, Lorraine, Kristina, Brandon Rich
  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
