Obituary: Jean F. Loy, 73, Adair Co., KY

Services will be held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 1pmCT. for Jean F. Loy who passed away at her home on January 20 after a long illness.


She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Delores Krause Stander of Garden City, Michigan.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband James Gailon Loy on August 24, 1977.

She is survived by:
  • Two sons, Ron Loy of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Donald Loy of Pompano Beach, Florida.

  • One daughter, Jan Sieczka of Ann Arbor

  • Four grandchildren: Andy, Shawn, Jessica and Laren

  • Several brothers and sisters

Jean was a nurse's aide and a caregiver for the elderly.

Rev. William Karnes will officiate at the Tuesday afternoon service with interment in the Loy Cemetery, 1740 Loy Cemetery RD, in Fairplay, KY.

The family requests visitation on Monday after 4pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
