Franklin Elmer Whitson, 80, Russell Springs, KY (1940-2021) Franklin Elmer Whitson of Russell Springs passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was 80 years old. Funeral services will be held at NoonCT on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy. Visitation will be from 11amCT until NoonCT on Friday, March 5, 2021. There will be a wake at 2:30pmCT on Friday, March 5 2021, at his home, 678 Robertson Road, Russell Springs. He was born on March 25, 1940 in Louisville Kentucky, son of Walter & Thelma Whitson. He was a retired Air Force veteran and member of Southeast Christian Church for 35 years. He loved God, Family & Country with everything he had. He is survived by, his wife of 62 years Linda Whitson of Russell Springs Kentucky, One son David Whitson of Richmond Kentucky, two daughters Sheri (Eric) Foster and Amanda (James) Quisenberry of Russell Springs Kentucky, 8 Grandchildren also survive, Erica Heath, Chris Foster, Shayla Whitson, Dylan Harrison, Zachary Foster, Savannah Whitson, Kadie Foster and Sydney Whitson, one great grandchild, Piper Heath also survives.
