Flu clinic Thursday, January 13, serves broadened eligibility group The Adair County Health Department will be offering flu shots to a broadened eligibility group from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2005. The department has lowered the age for eligibility from 65 to 50 years of age. Also added are individuals who come in contact with high risk patients, such as family members or caregivers who would not otherwise be eligible.. The high risk group includes diabetes patients, persons with emphysema, and those with heart disease. Pregnant women are eligible. Also eligible are those under age 2. Persons who have already received flu shots this season are not eligible. The Adair County Health Department is located at 801 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY 42728. The phone number is 270-384-2286.
