Norma Jean (Sissy) Franklin, 85, Campbellsville, KY (1935-2021)

Norma Jean "Sissy" Franklin of Campbellsville passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was 85 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Dannie Nelson. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested after 10amET on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Norma Jean "Sissy" Franklin, daughter of the late James Barnett and Bertha Bryant Barnett, was born May 10, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.

Norma was former employee of Fruit of the Loom for forty seven years. After retirement she worked at Orville's as a cook for seventeen years. She loved to read and work in her flowers. She got great enjoyment cooking, spending time with her family and working on the farm with her husband.

She united in marriage to James "Jimmy" Franklin October 5, 1957 and he preceded her in death December 13, 2016.

Norma Jean is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Brian Hinton of Campbellsville; one grandson, Brandon Skaggs and wife, April of Lexington; one step-grandson, Jordan Hinton and wife, Shelby; two great grandchildren: Brooklyn Reese Skaggs and Kendall Skaggs of Lexington; two brothers and one sister: Jack Barnett and wife, Carolyn, Cecil Barnett and wife, Donna and Rena Newton and husband, Orville; one sister-in-law, Lequita Barnett all of Campbellsville; also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Robert Barnett, Roger Barnett, Bobby Barnett and Rosalene Beck.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Gideon Bibles or Pitman Valley Baptist Church. These may be made through Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home
