Virginia Keen, 66

Viginia Keen, 66, 1145 Hemlock ST, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2004, at 4:45 p.m., at her home after an illness.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Humble and Bro. Richard Lowe officiating.


Virginia Keen was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, the owner of Keen's Tots & Teens, and a seamstress.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. J.A. and Eula Mae Cole Humble and the widow of Bobby Joe Keen, who preceded her in death on July 14, 1979.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Darrell Keen, on December 6, 2004.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Marguerite Willis, Columbia,KY
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Daniel Keen and his wife, Tamara, Glens Fork, KY
  • One brother: Bill Humble, Louisville, KY
  • Two sisters: Hazel Humble, Campbellsville, KY; and Alma Humble, TN
  • Four grandchildren: Stephanie Coomer and her husband Eric; Joe Willis, Jameson Keen, and Natalie Keen
  • Two great grandchildren: Payton and Chase Coomer
  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Central Kentucky or Columbia United Methodist Church.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

The family requests visitation after 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
