Flossie Marie Grider, 77, Russell County, KY (1943-2021) Flossie Marie Grider, of Russell Springs, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was 77 years of age. Born on December 30, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Bertha Neat Hardwick. Flossie was a former seamstress and was retired from Union Underwear. She loved to fish. Survivors include her son, Jerry (and Jennifer) Grider, of Russell Springs; granddaughter, Alexis Grider, of Russell Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Flossie was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Grider; brothers Nolen and Dillard Hardwick; and sister, Edna “Cricket” Gentry. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home with Charles Shepherd and Angie McGaha officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 – 2 prior to the service. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial covering are required. Pallbearers will be Barry McKinley, Dan Gentry, Gary West, Marvin Gentry, Levi Burton, and Scotty Hardwick. Memorial contributions are requested to help the family offset the funeral expenses.
