Hugh Mack Lewis, 72

Hugh Mack Lewis, 72, 1010 Estil Jessee Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2005 at 7:20 p.m., at Westlake Regional Hospital.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, Jaunary 4, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating.


Mr. Lewis was the son of the late Tom Paul and Mary Sue Hill Lewis.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son and his wife: Randolph and Ruth Ann Lewis, Columbia, KY
  • One daughter and her husband: Vonda and Ronnie Cowan
  • Two brothers: Ralph Lewis, Chance, KY; and Harris Lewis, Columbia, KY
  • Three sisters; Willow Shelton and Euna Sulllivan, both of Columbia, KY, and Paula Baker, Greensburg, KY
  • Three grandchildren: Nicholas Lewis, and his wife Sara; Jennifer Lewis, and LeAnna Cowan
  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by one brother, Coleman Lewis: and three sisters, Nadean Baker, Katherine Stotts, and Geneva Morrison.

He was a member of the White Oak Community Church, a retired farmer, and he served in the U.S. Army.

Interment will be in the Hill Cemetery at Chance, with military honors by local VFW Post 6097.

Visitation is after 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2005, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY.
