Bella Dawn Streeval honored by City of Columbia

Mayor Pamela Hoots has proclaimed February 1-5, 2021 as CMV Week in Columbia in honor of Bella Dawn Streeval.

Bella Dawn would have celebrated her fourth birthday this week. The condition affects one out of every 200 children born in the United States.

A bill has been introduced in the Kentucky State Senate, to honor her memory and to bring awareness to CMV (Cytomegalovirus) to the Commonwealth, by State Senator Max Wise. Introduction of this bill is meant to ensure that the public is made knowledgeable of, and is educated on CMV, and specifically congenital CMV.
