LWC Softball ranked No. 3 in NAIA Coaches Poll By Kyrin Mayfield The Lindsey Wilson softball team earned the No. 3-ranking in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Preseason Poll, announced by NAIA officials Wednesday morning. The Blue Raiders received 460 points. Last season, Lindsey Wilson ranked fifth in the preseason poll and climbed up to third after a 12-1 start before the remaining schedule was canceled due to COVID-19. Campbellsville (KY) joins Lindsey Wilson as the only other Mid-South Conference member to be included in the top-25. The Tigers received 317 votes and sit in the No. 11 spot. This marks the 10th-straight season Lindsey Wilson is ranked in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Preseason Poll. The Blue Raiders have been included in every Coaches' Poll dating back to April 12, 2012. Southern Oregon earned the top spot with 494 points and 15 of the 17 first-place votes. Science & Arts (OK) followed at No. 2 with 482 points and one first-place vote.
