LWC Women's Basketball climbs to #17 in NAIA Poll

The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team has climbed up two spots to No. 17 in the recent NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Blue Raiders (9-1, 4-1 MSC) earned 282 votes in the poll, sitting behind No. 16 Southeastern (Fla.) who corralled 314 votes. LWC edges out MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) who notched the No. 18 spot with 277 votes.

Fellow Mid-South Conference member Campbellsville (KY) jumps up to the No. 1 spot after earning 577 votes. Westmont (CA) sits at No. 2 with 575 votes received, while Wayland Baptist (TX) is at No. 3 (563 votes). MSC member Thomas More (KY) moves up to No. 4 (530 votes) while Oklahoma City (505 votes) rounds out the top five.

Other MSC members in the poll include Shawnee State (Ohio) at No. 9 (425 votes) while Cumberlands (KY) is in the receiving votes section.

The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is set to return to the floor on Thursday afternoon to face Pikeville (KY) at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Tipoff is slated for 4pmCT.
