Alvin Gupton, 78, Campbellsville, KY (1942-2021) Alvin Gupton of Campbellsville passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was 78 years old. The funeral service will be held at 3pmET on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. John Chowning. Burial will follow in Saloma Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 1pmET until 3pmET on Wednesday, January 6, 2020, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Alvin Gupton of Campbellsville, son of the late John Will Gupton and Mary Ivo Russell Gupton, was born May 20, 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church. He loved listening to gospel music and attending church. He united in marriage to Dawn Ellis August 27, 1966 and she preceded him in death September 2, 2010. Alvin was a farmer and a retired security employee with Ingersoll Rand. He had also worked in transportation for several years and loved helping people in the transportation business. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Alvin is survived by two sons and one daughter: Todd Gupton and fiancee' Hazel Mae Sayon of Campbellsville, Jonathan Gupton and wife, Kasey of Glasgow and Leigh Ann Bell and husband, Sam of Columbia; two grandchildren: Stephanie Dawn Bell and Billy James Bell of Columbia and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph Gupton and Thomas Gupton. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Saloma Baptist Church or Saloma Cemetery and may be made through Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
