Couple working to preserve Pleasant View Baptist Church

By Shelbie Landis

My name is Shelbie Landis, my husband, Coty. We purchased the beautiful historic Pleasant View Baptist Church in March of 2020, and I have set my sights on restoring her to her former glory! We are working tirelessly to secure funds to do just that.

We also plan to bring baptisms back to the mouth of Butler in the year 2021. A long overdue occurrence, I should say!

We have a Facebook page named "Saving Historic Pleasant View Baptist Church" that tracks the progress of our intentions. There, we also ask for donations, prayers, shared stories, or a simple "like."
