Joe Allen Curry, Sr., 82, Adair Co., KY native (1938-2020)

Mr. Joe Allen Curry, Sr. passed away on December 22, 2020 at The Grandview Nursing Home in Campbellsville. He was 82 years old.

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Allen Curry, Sr. will be conducted at 2pmCT on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Steve Delashmit officiating. Burial will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

A walk-through visitation is requested on Saturday, December 26, 2020, from 4pmCT until 7pmCT, and after 7amCT at the funeral home.

Due to State Mandated Guidelines funeral services are limited to 50 percent capacity. Please wear a mask at all times and continue maintaining a minimum of 6 feet social distancing.



Mr. Joe Allen Curry, Sr. was born January 22, 1938 in Adair County, Kentucky to the late Etheridge Banks Curry and Inez Brockman Curry.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Brick Mason and served in the National Guard. He was united in marriage December 24, 1956 to Jane Alden Bright Curry, who survives. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son and two daughters: Barry Allen Curry, Patricia Jo Curry, and Beverly Ann Curry , four sisters and four brothers: Eva Jewell Shuffett, Juanita Curry, Charles Curry, Doris Manning, Harold Curry, Willie Curry, Roger Curry and Mary Louise Parrish

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law: Joe Curry, Jr., John and Karen Curry of Campbellsville; four daughters and sons-in-law: Diana Clark and her husband Brad of Bowling Green, Betty Montgomery and her husband Jeff of Greer, South Carolina, Cheryl Curry of Campbellsville and Melissa Nutgrass and her husband Mike of Shelbyville; one brother: Jim Curry of Greensburg; four sisters: Judy Metcalfe of Greensburg, Sue Bondurant of Florida, Martha Curry of Mt. Washington and Wanda Edelen and her husband Mitch of Florida; twelve grandchildren: Rob Bryant, Adam Sprowles, Josh Ford, Shonda Cowherd, Andrew Tungate, Elliott Benningfield, McKenzie Plummer, Dillion Nutgrass, Miranda Nutgrass, Danielle Olmstead, Ally Curry and Tyler Benningfield and sixteen great-grandchildren. Plus, a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Rob Barnett, Adam Sprowles, Elliott Benningfield, Dillion Nutgrass, Dennis Curry, Ayden Sprowles

Honorary Pallbearers: Josh Ford, Mitch Edelen, Andrew Tungate, Tyler Benningfield

The family has requested that donations be made to American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. These can be made at the funeral home.
