Columbia KSP Post 15 assists in Clinton HIDTA drug arrests

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, assisted the HIDTA Task Force in a year long drug investigation which resulted in the arrests of seven Clinton County residents on Tuesday, November 30, 2004.

HIDTA is the acronym for "High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. "The HIDTA unit was also assisted by the Albany Police Force and the Clinton County Sheriff's office.

Those arrested and the charges are as follows:


  1. Peggy Sue Griffin, Albany, 45, who was charged with 2 counts of trafficking in a controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense (meth)
  2. Michael Brandon Cooksey, Albany, 27, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1000 yearsds of a school
  3. Curtis Jones, Albany, 59, charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st within 1000 yards of a school
  4. Danny Stockton, Albany, 47, charged with trafficking in controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense
  5. Ronnie D. Wright, Albany, 36, charged with trafficking in controlled substance (marijuana less than 8 ounces), trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense
  6. Shirley Stockton, Albany, 47, charged with trafficking in controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense
  7. Stephanie Rene Craig, Albany, 24, charged with trafficking in controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense, trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense
Those charged were lodged in the Clinton County Jail.

More arrests are pending.
