Increasing clouds today, high 60F, much colder weather coming

It's currently 38F at the Adair County Mesonet station. We'll see increasing clouds today, with a high near 60F. South wind 8 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Tonight will bring a 100 percent chance of showers, mainly after 7pmCT. The overnight low will be around 35F. South wind 11 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Thursday will bring rain showers and freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet before 11amCT, and then snow showers, possibly mixed with freezing rain, changing to snow showers by afternoon. Thursday's high will be near 35F. Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch is also possible.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with a 20 percent chance of snow showers, and an overnight low dropping all the way to 13F. Wind chill values could be as low as 4F. West wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
